As emerged from ASIS (Alpine Social Innovation Strategy) partners’ territorial analysis, the Alpine area is a territory with different economic, social and environmental challenges, to which social innovation initiatives should respond to. Indeed, the Alpine region’s 450 thousand square kilometers is home to an estimated 70 million inhabitants, but a place where over 40% of the regions is scarcely populated.
The ASIS project has evaluated cooperation axis between countries, based on these related specific issues to which social innovation can respond, setting operational goals and defining a common social strategy at a transnational level.
