EDITORIAL

Dear all,

We are pleased to share with you the ultimate edition of the ASIS newsletter. Even if the project itself has been completed since a year, we have continued to disseminate our outcomes and to highlight some events and relevant initiatives, in order to promote social innovation.
During the project implementation, in addition to the elaboration of a common definition of social innovation within the Alpine space and the creation of social innovation awareness-raising tools, the ASIS partners have elaborated a set of recommendations for public authorities, to encourage them to support social innovation initiatives. All these tools will remain available in free access on our platform, even though our website and our social media will no longer be updated.
To the Guidelines
To the Trainings
To the Whitebook

We hope these tools and recommendations will contribute to a better understanding of social innovation, that they will be inspiring and that some experiments will see the light, thanks to the seeds we sown.
Now, the ASIS story comes to an end. But our mission is not totally over. We would be delighted to get your feedback and to learn more about your experimentations of new public policies approaches.
So feel free to contact us!

We wish you a pleasant reading and let’s stay connected!
Take care,
The ASIS team

A NEW PODCAST ABOUT SOCIAL INNOVATION

Social Innovation Exchange (SIX) is launching a podcast called ‘Social Innovation Eurovision’. This podcast will explore the interaction between social innovators and the environment they function in. Political, social and cultural contexts of innovation matter and it is vital we understand them to accelerate learning and exchange across borders and sectors, in order to better prepare for the common societal challenges we face.
To the podcast

This podcast is part of The European Social Innovation Alliance (#ESIA), funded by the European Commission. The purpose of this project is to build Competence Centres for Social Innovation across Europe and drive social innovation – locally, regionally, nationally and transnationally.
WHAT IF TERRITORIES WERE THE IDEAL PLACES TO EXPERIMENT SOCIAL INNOVATION

How experimentation should be at the heart of all measures and legislation, how territorial alliances between different parties should help manage complex issues?
To think over this topic, we invite you to read the interview of Charles-Benoit Heidsieck’s, President of Le RAMEAU. Le RAMEAU is a French national observatory for identifying partnership issues, an experimentation center for the emergence of new models, and a place for forward thinking to share and deploy innovative solutions on a large scale

THE SOCIAL ECONOMY: THE FUTURE OF EUROPE

The European summit on social economy brought together nearly 2000 participants on May 5th and 6th 2022 in Strasbourg (FR). Organised in the framework of the French Presidency of the European Union with the support of the Eurometropole of Strasbourg, the objective was to discuss the place of the social economy in the European Union and its future through conferences, workshops and meetings. A summit that could be summed up by three key words: alliance, change of scale, set of major macroeconomic objectives leading to the elaboration of the Social Economy Action Plan.
